Talisman Spoken Word
Talisman Spoken Word is Swansea's longest-running poetry open mic. I have been organiser and host for the past ten years.
During that time we have hosted some incredible feature poets, many of whom have gone on to make a name for themselves in literary circles. Previous features include Natalie Ann Holborow, Rae Howells, Karen Gemma Brewer and Jonathan Edwards.
We meet on the last Thursday of every month at Elysium Bar, High Street, Swansea,
Entry is free and new readers are especially welcome. Sign up on the door from 7pm for 7.30pm start.

International Peace Day - Peaceweavers Anthology launch

Peaceweavers
‘Peaceweavers’ (publ. Culture Matters), weaves together a mixture of essays, interviews, quotations, poetry and artwork from contributors across the world. Together, they create a harmonious choir of voices and images about peaceweaving – about how we can nurture cultures of peace, justice, co-operative interdependence and purposeful collaborative labour.
We'll be launching the Peaceweavers Anthology on the evening of International Peace Day, Monday 21 September, with a Celebration of Peace at Swansea Minster, Castle Square, Swansea. More details to be confirmed!
